Betting and Embezzlement

Thomas William Cullip, 18, milk carrier, of Brackenbury-road, East Finchley, was charged with embezzling various sums of money belonging to his employers, the Express Dairy Company, of College Farm, Finchley. His total defalcations amounted to nearly £12, and prisoner said that he had spent the money in betting on horses. He was placed on probation for two years, one of the conditions being that he is to repay the stolen money.
